Villanueva Construction: Outstanding Achievement Award

Villanueva Construction was recognized for certifying the most homes in the BUILT TO SAVE® High-Performance Home Program for the fourth year in a row. While many builders opt to build homes to the bare minimum standards required by code, Villanueva Construction has embraced the energy saving and high-quality construction standards of the BUILT TO SAVE® program. The company’s leadership role as an energy efficient builder is a reflection of the company’s founder, Martin Villanueva, and his passion and desire to do what is right for the customer and to build the best home they can possibly build for them. Their homes are inspected during construction and tested using specialized equipment and software by a Resnet-licensed home energy rater to verify compliance with the strict BUILT TO SAVE® requirements for energy efficiency and above-code performance.

Villanueva Construction was also recognized by the Rio Grande Valley Builders Association during last year’s Parade of Homes, receiving an award for the Most Energy Efficient Home certified in the BUILT TO SAVE® program.

The BUILT TO SAVE® program is sponsored by Magic Valley Electric Cooperative, who, as a steward of energy conservation, provides incentives to builders in the program who construct homes in MVEC territory. Magic Valley Electric Cooperative is committed to promoting high-performance home construction and improving the quality of life for Rio Grande Valley residents with new homes that are more comfortable, more durable, and wonderfully energy efficient.
