The Rio Grande Valley Builders Association honored a small group of women builders at its September membership meeting in recognition of their exemplary contributions to the homebuilding industry.
The event was organized by the RGVBA in observance of American Business Women’s Day which took place on September 22, 2021, a day set aside to recognize the achievements of over 8 million women business owners, along with 68 million women in the workforce across the nation.
Women builders, especially, deserve high recognition for succeeding in an industry dominated by men. Their success in the face of many challenges by virtue of their gender is an inspiration to everyone—especially to young women following in their footsteps.
Thanks to the hard work and determination of our women builders, the value of women contractors is now widely accepted and, more importantly, appreciated.
