Emigdio Villanueva III, Co-Founder COO

Founded in 2013 by Emigdio Villanueva, Jr. and his sons Emigdio Villanueva, III and David Villanueva, Villa Homes has quickly distinguished itself as a company that constructs fine quality homes with features and details that other companies consider as upgrades.

In addition to custom homebuilding, Villa Homes has recently moved into developing new home communities. They began with Sommerset Court Estates, a select community of 22 lots located in the prestigious Sharyland school district in Mission. Most recently, Villa Homes announced the opening of North Pointe, a cozy 12 lot community in a popular and convenient location in northwest McAllen. North Pointe will feature beautifully designed and master-crafted Villa homes starting in the $230’s.

Villa Homes’ success can be best exemplified by the award-winning recognition given to the company by the Rio Grande Valley Builders Association during the 2018 Parade of Homes competition—which included 27 homes in a variety of sizes and prices. Villa Homes, competing in the $301-$350K Home category, won several awards, including: “Best Home in Its Category,” “Best Kitchen,” “Best Master & Bath,” “Best Architectural Design,” and, most impressively, was awarded “Best of Show” over all other entries.

While most of what made the Villa Homes’ award-winning model extraordinary was easily visible, there was one area that was not as evident—its high-performance energy efficiency. This “Best of Show” home was the company’s first home to be certified as a high-performance home in the BUILT TO SAVE™ program, a voluntary program for builders who are not satisfied with just building to minimum standards. You see, builders are not required to build above code standards, and while many builders say they build above standards, the only way to be sure is to have the actual document in your hands that shows your home is certified as a high-performance home.  Words without proof will be useless for homebuyers when or if they try to resell their home.

As for Villa Homes, the company not only says it builds energy efficient homes, they can prove it. From using superior spray foam insulation, to all LED lighting, to energy efficient windows and appliances, to properly sized heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, to much more, a BUILT TO SAVE™ Villa home is guaranteed to easily outperform similar homes built only to code. The result is that the home will not only look beautiful and be comfortable, it will actually be both.

BUILT TO SAVE™ homes by Villa Homes

The Villa Homes’ team is an extensive group of professionals, from sales consultants to designers, lenders, craftsmen, and energy efficiency consultants—all focused on building a home to fit a buyer’s needs. If there is a legacy to the Villa Homes’ company, it is their desire to please their customers by delivering a superior home with accents and details that individualize the buyer’s unique preferences. Villa Homes will not compromise quality to save a few dollars, and they welcome the third-party inspections and testing required by the BUILT TO SAVE™ program to guarantee that’s what’s behind the walls of their homes is as “extra-ordinary” as their award-winning floorplans and interiors have proven to be.
